Silvair announces full support for DALI ahead of the new DALI Alliance certification program

Krakow, June 26, 2025 - Silvair, a leading provider of Bluetooth® NLC solutions for professional lighting applications, has announced full support for the Bluetooth NLC to DALI interface (the DALI Part 341 specification), delivering a major step forward in the convergence of two global lighting control standards. With the release of Silvair Firmware 2.32 NLC, the company now enables seamless interoperability between Bluetooth NLC networks and DALI drivers — opening the door to flexible wireless DALI implementations without compromising on standardization or reliability.

The Bluetooth NLC to DALI interface (the DALI Part 341 specification) is the result of a joint effort between Bluetooth SIG and the DALI Alliance to bring greater interoperability to lighting control systems. Silvair has worked closely with the DALI Alliance throughout the development of the specification, contributing to its design and implementation. The newly released firmware reflects that collaboration and ensures Silvair’s partners will be ready to pursue compliance from day one when the official certification program launches. This marks a significant milestone in advancing standardization across both wireless and wired ecosystems.

We believe in open standards and in creating technology that connects rather than fragments,” said Simon Slupik, CTO of Silvair and Chair of the Mesh Working Group at Bluetooth SIG. “With our full support for the Bluetooth NLC to DALI interface, we’re bringing two leading standards together and showing how wireless and wired ecosystems can complement each other. This is the natural next step in driving adoption of future-ready, interoperable lighting control solutions.

By combining Bluetooth NLC with DALI’s rich bi-directional communication capabilities, lighting systems gain access to a broad spectrum of actionable data — including operational status, energy usage, diagnostics, and manufacturing details. This unlocks new possibilities for real-time performance monitoring, advanced asset management, and streamlined maintenance. It also lays the groundwork for predictive maintenance and proactive issue resolution, enabling service providers to identify potential problems before they impact building operations.

The latest version of Silvair Firmware comes as the result of a multi-release roadmap aimed at bridging the gap between Bluetooth and DALI technologies. With the final pieces now in place, Silvair is enabling hybrid lighting control architectures that are fully standards-based, unlocking new possibilities for both retrofit and new-build projects.
